“Our work with Josh began months before he actually arrived. Our community held several song circles to give congregants the opportunity to learn and practice his melodies. When Josh arrived and held a singing session on Thursday evening, we hit the ground running. By Friday evening, the anticipation for Shabbat was palpable and the energy in the room was electric! The same was true on Shabbat morning both for the service and for the Torah study that Josh led masterfully.
On Saturday evening, we shared the gift of Josh’s presence and music with the wider Jewish community, bringing in Josh’s band “Chaverei Nevarech” for a concert at our local JCC. The cherry on top was Josh leading our religious school students together with their parents on Sunday morning. The experience with Josh continues to reverberate as we continue with special services once/month highlighting his melodies. Josh’s visit has been a gift to our community that keeps on giving!”
